Leg Begins to Heal

For over a year now, my husband has suffered from leg pain while driving.  For awhile it kept getting worse and worse.  He has a one hour commute to and from work and many times he had to stop and pull over just to massage his leg.  The pain was really getting unbearable.

My husband is that stubborn type, but I think it finally got bad enough that he went to the doctor.  The doctor then prescribed physical therapy.  He did this for about four months without any relief.  I started praying for his leg on a daily basis probably in April or May of this year, 2012.  I myself was seeing a chiropractor for back pain and he had done wonders for me.  Something told me I really needed to get my husband to go see my doctor.  My husband resisted because financially it was out of our budget.  Tricare does not cover chiropractors.

Finally, when my husband accompanied me to the chiropractor, he finally acquiesced.   The doctor took x-rays of his back and it showed how my husband was severely misaligned.  Dr. Perry told him, "I am sure I can help you."  He set up a treatment to be seen three times a week for four months.  The cost would be pricey.  It would take a big chunk out of our savings, but I knew deep inside it was the right thing.

My husband started seeing relief about 2 weeks after beginning the treatment.  Two months into it, and the pain was no longer there when he drove to and from work.  We drove down to Florida which was a 16.5 hour drive and he didn't start to feel any discomfort until about 8 hours into the drive.  Just a few months before the idea of a 16 hour drive would have been impossible.  On the drive back the pain did get bad again, however, after visiting the chiropractor upon his return, the pain was gone again and he still does not feel anything to and from work.  He is still within his four months of treatment.

Sometimes God will miraculously heal people or sometimes he just sends the right person into our lives.  That person has been Dr. Perry, a true answer to our prayers.  This is a blog about my husbands leg pain, but this doctor has also helped my daughter's asthma and allergies (I will detail this in another blog).  The miracle here has not just been the improvement in my husband's leg.  It has also been the fact that financially we were able to afford it.  Our savings budget is almost back to where it was.  We have less money coming in, but somehow all our needs have been covered.  Praise God!
